CT Scan

A CT or CAT Scan also known as computerized tomography is an X-Ray technique where your doctor can see organs more specifically than can be seen with traditional X-Rays. This scan is used because it can show precise and detailed images of your bones and organs whereas only outlines and bones can be seen on a traditional X-Ray.

The CT Scanner rotates around your body to take images throughout your body. These images look like “slices” through your body. A CT scan uses a combination of X-rays and a computer to get multiple images in rapid sequence. From these images, radiologists can see a clear picture of your bones and soft tissues. This scan rotates around your body gathering images on a specific part of your body.
